Hotels bulk buy Linens regularly every year, the old linens need to be discard after renewal. Also, for big Hotels like Hilton, IHG, Marriott…. the damage rate of  linens is always very high, deal with damage hotel linens is always troublesome…. So how is all this happen, and is there some ways we can do?

1. The Normal Service Life

During the linen service period, Things like Bedding Fabric become thinner, yellowing or burr…. In these kind of situation, the Hotel housekeeping need to pick up the cloth and stacks it individually.

2. Soiled Due to Improper Use

There are many situations that the linens could be soiled, sometimes by guests, sometimges by housekeeping dept, and this is usually by improper use.

Because, usually the hotel linens are imported from Asia, and before land in to hotels, there is a long way and many transport process, un-expected scratches, holes and other damages will happen.

For example, some bedding thread are found in open after unpack the carton, if the damage is small, the hotel rear-service dept can repair the open thread without reporting the damage, and they need to count the total damage QTY and report to Supplier for refill or refund.

So, How to Deal With These Damage Linen?

Well, there are some ways available for reference, and the biggest purpose is to save costs.

For example, you can change a large tablecloth to a small tablecloth and then to a napkin, you know, depend on feasibility. It can be used for other purposes like a pillowcase, or can be cut into small pieces like a rag.

In addition, discount sales is also a good way. After all, damaged linens will take up space, space hotels need to pay the storage fee. Check the information in located used company or list in second-hand websites, sell them to reduce the cost.
